Frozen Toque  BBQ, started in the response to perfect the perfect backyard BBQ for friends and family, and quickly grew to an international commitment to BBQ.

Head Pit Master Christopher Zinger struggled to find “Real Good BBQ” in the most populated northern region in North America, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a grandchild to a first generation Canadian cattle, pork and grain farmer he had the opportunity to indulge in unique cuts, and was always around what was a Canadian Cold Weather staple, the Propane Grill.

His passion for southern style BBQ was the change of things to come. In Truly the start of it all was one summer night back in 2006. Chris’ friends won a free Weber Kettle 22″ Grill at a company raffle, both had no idea how to use this device, and teamwork would find an answer!!

Frozen Toque BBQ, started in the response to master the perfect backyard BBQ for friends and family, and quickly grew to an international commitment to BBQ.

Pit-Master Christopher Zinger struggled back in the early days to find “Real Good BBQ” in the most populated northern region in North America, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This meant he wanted to fill the void and turned to practicing in the Backyard using different techniques and methods of cooking every chance he got. That sometimes meant cooking in the depths of the cold frozen Canadian winters, where temperatures can get as cold as minus 35 Celsius (-35 C), or minus 31 Fahrenheit (-31 F).
